WHY ISN’T YOUR POWER WINDOW WORKING?

Back in the day, back and side windows were rolled down manually, but most modern vehicles now have power windows. While this is a more convenient option, it can be frustrating when a malfunction occurs.

If your windows are not working, here are the most common reasons.

MALFUNCTIONING MOTOR

Power windows have a regulator and a motor that power them.

The motor makes the window go up and down, so if the motor burns out or there's a blown fuse, the window will stop working because no power is available.

MULTIPLE DAMAGE SPOTS

Even with minor damages, if you have multiple spots, your windshield weakens, and any chips or cracks can spread more quickly, limiting your visibility and making driving more dangerous.

ELECTRIAL ISSUE

Every connection matters; your window switch has multiple wires connected to the motor.

While this is one of the less frequent issues, the wiring may be broken or damaged and need to be replaced.
